How PrepSmart's Team of Experts Builds Your Profile

Creator sign-up is opening soon. This guide describes the designed creator experience — what signing up as a PrepSmart creator will look like — not a product that is live in the app today.

When you join PrepSmart, you don't sit down to build a profile from a blank page. A Team of Experts does the heavy lifting for you — finding your brand voice, your recipes, and your content wherever they live, and assembling it all into a finished profile. Then they hand it to you in a review, where you see the work, make it yours, and approve it before anything goes live.

This is one of PrepSmart's core promises to creators. Here's who's on the team, what they build, and how the human review works.

What Is the Team of Experts?

The Team of Experts is a group of real specialists — the kind of people you'd otherwise have to hire and coordinate yourself — who research your work and build your PrepSmart presence for you.

They use AI-assisted tools to move fast. But the tools speed the work; the team is what delivers the result. The onboarding screen says it plainly:

A team of experts builds your profile this week — the deep research to find your brand voice, recipes, and content wherever they live. AI-assisted tools speed the work, but it's the team behind them that delivers an agency-grade result: what 7 specialists and ~$10K of freelance work would cost you to replicate.

So when you see "Team of Experts," picture an agency-grade build — roughly seven specialists doing what would cost about $10,000 in freelance work if you commissioned it yourself. On PrepSmart, that build is included as part of getting you set up.

It is not a scrape, and it is not a faceless system. It's people who do the research, make the judgment calls, and stand behind the work — with one of them (your Strategist) staying in your corner long after the build is done.

Who's on the Team

Across the build, the team covers the specialist roles you'd normally have to source one by one:

  • Brand voice analysts — read your existing content and capture how you sound: your tone, your teaching style, your vocabulary, the personality that makes your content distinctly yours.
  • Recipe specialists — find your recipes across your posts and rebuild them into clean, structured, guided recipes (ingredients, steps, timing, servings).
  • Content & collections editors — organize your recipes into collections and a sample weekly plan that feels intentional, not dumped into a list.
  • Profile & bio writers — write your profile and bio in the voice the analysts captured.
  • Your Growth Strategist — the team member who is your single point of contact. Your Strategist presents the finished work to you, walks you through it, and stays with you as your client-success contact after launch. (You'll meet yours by name — "Meet Maya, your Growth Strategist.")

The Strategist isn't separate from the team — they're part of it, the human face of the build and your ongoing concierge once you're live.

What the Team Builds for You

During your build week, the team assembles the full starting kit for your page:

  • Your profile & bio — written in your voice
  • Your brand voice, captured — documented so everything you publish stays consistent
  • Your recipes — found in your content (for most creators, pulled in from Instagram) and rebuilt as guided, structured recipes
  • Recipe collections & a sample weekly plan — your recipes organized into themed collections plus an example weekly plan your fans can cook from
  • Your earnings forecast & 90-day launch plan — a model of where you could go, plus the step-by-step plan to get there

This is the same list you'll see ticking through on the build screen during onboarding:

Your profile & bio · Your brand voice · Your recipes — from your Instagram · Recipe collections & weekly plan

Your earnings forecast is an early estimate that updates with your real data — a floor, not a ceiling, and never a promise. It's there to give you a direction, not a guarantee.

How the Build Works: Research, Then a Human Review

The defining feature of the Team of Experts isn't just that real people build your profile — it's how they hand it to you. The work always comes back through a human review step you control.

1. The team researches and builds (your build week)

Once you connect Instagram — which both verifies that the account is really yours and lets the team pull your recipes in — the specialists get to work. Deep research to find your voice, your recipes, and your content; then they assemble it into a finished profile, collections, a sample weekly plan, and your forecast. This typically takes about a week.

2. The team presents the finished work — already built

When the build is ready, you don't get a pile of raw data to sort through. You get a finished profile, presented to you — the findings laid out for your review. The reveal screen captures the moment:

We found your profile — already built. Connecting Instagram let us match your account to the work your team of experts finished in advance. Review it, make it yours, and go live.

At that point you'll see everything marked ready for you:

✓ Your profile & bio · ✓ Your brand voice, captured · ✓ Your recipes, organized into collections · ✓ Sample weekly plan · ✓ Earnings forecast & 90-day plan

3. You review, make it yours, and approve

This is your step. The team built it; you decide what ships. You review each piece, adjust anything that isn't quite you, and approve it. Nothing goes live until you say so. After approval, you set your price, confirm your forecast, and go live.

The flow is always the same: the team builds → presents the work → you approve. You are never doing data entry, and you are never publishing something a machine decided on its own.

What You Do vs. What the Team Does

| The Team of Experts does | You do | |---|---| | Researches your voice, recipes, and content | Connect Instagram so they can verify you and pull your recipes | | Builds your profile, bio, collections, and sample weekly plan | Review the finished work | | Captures your brand voice and writes in it | Tweak anything that isn't quite you | | Models your earnings forecast and 90-day plan | Set your price and approve your forecast | | Presents it all in a review for your approval | Make it yours and go live |

Your time investment in the build is small: connect your account, then review and approve. The specialists carry the rest.

Why It's Done This Way

It saves you an agency-sized project. Hiring and coordinating seven specialists to capture your voice and rebuild years of recipes is a real, expensive undertaking. The team does it as part of getting you set up.

It protects your voice. Because real specialists capture how you sound and write in it — and because you review every piece before it ships — your page reads like you, not like a generic platform.

You always have the final say. The human review step isn't a formality. The work is built for your approval. If something doesn't represent you, it doesn't go live.

The team doesn't disappear after launch. Your Strategist stays on as your point of contact — one message, no tickets, no transfers — backed by the same team that built your profile and the engine that helps you grow.

After You Go Live

The build week gets you to launch, but the team stays with you:

  • Your Strategist remains your concierge — your single point of contact for anything you need.
  • New content keeps flowing in — as you keep posting exactly as you always do, your recipes can continue to be pulled in and added to your page.
  • You can always add or edit yourself — your page isn't frozen; you're in control of it.

Nothing about your routine changes. You keep doing what you do best; the team keeps the page in shape behind you.

FAQ

Q: Is the Team of Experts a real group of people, or is it AI? A: It's real specialists. They use AI-assisted tools to work faster, but the team — including your Strategist — does the research, makes the calls, presents the work, and stands behind it. It is not a scrape or an automated system working on its own.

Q: How many people, and what would this cost me otherwise? A: Think agency-grade — roughly seven specialists doing what would cost about $10,000 in freelance work to replicate. On PrepSmart, that build is included as part of getting you set up.

Q: Do I have to upload my recipes? A: No. Once you connect Instagram, the team finds and rebuilds your recipes for you. You review and approve them — you don't do data entry. (For a deeper walkthrough, see How Your Recipes Get onto PrepSmart.)

Q: Will anything publish without me seeing it first? A: No. The whole point of the human review step is that you see the finished work, make it yours, and approve it before you go live. Nothing ships without your say-so.

Q: Why do I have to connect Instagram? A: Two reasons: it verifies that the account is really yours (so no one can pose as you and claim your recipes), and it lets the team securely pull your recipes and account info in to build your profile. It's read-only — PrepSmart can't post, message, or change anything on your behalf, and you can disconnect anytime.

Q: Who is my Strategist, and how do they fit in? A: Your Growth Strategist is your dedicated point of contact and part of the Team of Experts. They present your finished profile, walk you through the review, and stay with you after launch as your client-success concierge — one message, no tickets, no transfers.

Q: What if the team gets something wrong? A: That's exactly what the review is for. You can adjust anything that isn't quite you before approving. And you can keep editing and adding to your page after you're live.
